Kito Muñoz is a Spanish photographer and director from Cádiz, based in Paris.
His work moves between fashion, portraiture and film, creating intimate and carefully constructed worlds drawn from personal obsessions, memories and everyday life. Blurring the boundaries between reality and fiction, his images explore identity, vulnerability and desire, with a particular interest in evolving ideas of gender.
Drawing from cinema, documentary photography and surrealism, Kito combines a strong sense of composition with an instinctive attention to character, gesture and environment. Across still and moving image, fashion becomes part of a wider visual language through which he builds characters and narratives from a deeply personal point of view.
