William Bartel

Make Up Artist

Selected work Portfolio Biography Instagram

William Bartel finds his inspiration in the freedom of fashion from the 60s to the 80s, in his many travels and a passionate obsession for masks. To him, beauty is a radical quest, a wild combination of audacity and technical prowess. Bartel started his carrer in an underground Parisian theater, rubbing shoulders with artists, actors, punks and drag-queens. From this very unique background, he has developed a singular aesthetic, a personal approach to make-up. Bartel has collaborated with major photographers like Juergen Teller, Harley Weir, Anthony Seklaoui or Carlijn Jacobs, among many others. And for brands like Balenciaga or Saint Laurent.
