William Bartel
Make Up Artist
William Bartel finds his inspiration in the freedom of fashion from the 60s to the 80s, in his many travels and a passionate obsession for masks. To him, beauty is a radical quest, a wild combination of audacity and technical prowess. Bartel started his carrer in an underground Parisian theater, rubbing shoulders with artists, actors, punks and drag-queens. From this very unique background, he has developed a singular aesthetic, a personal approach to make-up. Bartel has collaborated with major photographers like Juergen Teller, Harley Weir, Anthony Seklaoui and Carlijn Jacobs, among many others, as well as with brands like Balenciaga or Saint Laurent.
